Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us achieve beyond our goal! I wanted to remind everyone why women, why crowdfunding and why we are a for-profit entity.

Women still face a long list of challenges in our lives that are one way or another related to money, many of which we already spoke about in our video and campaign text.

Money has been the subject of scrutiny, greed, blame, problems and evil. “The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.” It may be used to blackmail others, to threaten their sense of security, to force people to do things they don't want to do. I don’t dispute any of that, but my argument is this:

Money is a tool. It is the means towards change, the fuel behind the world’s engine, and the language which is spoken today. How do we expect to make a difference in the world, when we seem to not want to face, deal with, or try to learn about money?

I don’t advocate teaching financial literacy so one can build their bank account, sit on it, and use it all on themselves; I advocate to teach young girls about it so that they enter their adulthood with the knowledge and skills to understand what is going on around them, and navigate life with the confidence to make the savvy decisions they need for a financially secure future.

Women who are financially literate have higher financial capabilities and the capacity to build the life they want and need for themselves and their families. They will more likely be the change catalysts the world needs today.

This is what I believe the world needs today. And if I chose the nonprofit path, our mission would be at the mercy of donors and those with money power. I would rather do my best to create a self-sustainable company that drives this mission.

So why a crowdfunding campaign? First, because prototyping, designing, sourcing, producing and testing such a product is expensive. And by involving all of you who believe in me and in inherQuests’ mission, you become such an integral part of what we are trying to do. Each one of you is as much part of inherQuests is I am now, because you saw, listened, read, supported and contributed to something you believe will make a difference. I thank you. I am honored by your confidence and trust.

The campaign has allowed us to build awareness, to spread our mission, get pre-subscriptions and build interest in what we are doing.

I look forward to updating you on our journey and welcome your help, feedback and support. Welcome to our Quest.
